Clare Hinde, who was head of special events at the Royal Horticultural Society for 15 years, will take charge of the 10th anniversary edition of the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair in Berkeley Square and other events, replacing Mieka Sywak, who is leaving after more than five years.

The appointment is the first by LAPADA’s new chief executive, Patricia Stevenson, former publishing director of Tatler.

“Clare comes to us with an exceptional background in staging large-scale and high-profile events, which were consistently delivered to the very highest standard,” Stevenson said.

Hinde, who will work alongside LAPADA fair organiser Emma McVittie, said: “We have an opportunity to take this leading fair into the next phase of its development.”
