The quirky and grotesque jars, said to be caricatures of people in Victorian London, were produced from the early 1880s onwards and named after their maker Robert Wallace Martin.

Specialist British art potter dealership AD Antiques in Gloucestershire is selling this group, collectively valued at around £100,000.

They date from 1882-1905, the largest measuring 11½in (29cm) high, the smallest 8in (20cm).
