Textiles dealer Zoob said: “We reached optimum size about six years ago with around 70 exhibitors. We never want to have too many dealers selling the same sort of stock and we don’t want the fair to grow too big.”

The event held near Tunbridge Wells in Kent takes place this year from Friday to Saturday, May 18-19. Set in marquees on lawns with fine views over the Kent Weald, it is worth a visit for lunch and a glass of wine even if you are not tempted by the variety of what’s on offer.

Stylishly laid out in marquees, this fair attracts those 70 dealers in decorative antiques and contemporary homewares (particularly from France), as well as boutique-shop fashion and jewellery.

Among this year’s exhibitors are Archcamellias Nest with plenty of quirky French decorative pieces, Frances Dowling selling vintage fashion and Dune Wold of Norse Vintage with industrial pieces on her stand.
