This 50 cent, 1898 copy of Magic Made Easy… by Houdini sold for $8000 (£6105) at US magic specialist Potter & Potter.
Gabe Fajuri of P&P said: “I never thought I’d see, let alone sell a copy of this Houdini pitchbook, published before his rise to fame, when he was truly ‘down and out’ and forced to sell the secrets behind magic tricks to help make ends meet.”
This rarity doubled expectations to sell for $8000 (£6105).
