This 14th century medieval annular brooch set with cabochon rubies and sapphires is estimated at £10,000-14,000 at TimeLine Auctions in London on November 23.
Found near Shepperton, Surrey, in the late 1980s (and recorded at that time), it bears comparison with another in the British Museum’s Franks bequest. It could be French or English.
