On November 15 Binoche et Giquello will be offering the collection of miniature artefacts that were the special preserve of Patrick Caput, international consultant and art expert on Oceanic and African art, and his wife Béatrice.
This 7½in (19cm) high reliquary statuette from the Luba peoples in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the highlights of the collection. It is attributed to the middle Lukuga atelier of eastern Luba and has an estimate of €80,000- 120,000.
