Drawn onto dispatch paper, Nash made the drawing in 1917 when he was an officer in the trenches, before being created an official war artist.

Paul Nash: Another Life, Another World includes oil paintings, prints and photographs spanning his career.

Though best remembered for his work in the Modern British scene and as a British war artist, he also travelled to New York in 1931. This show, however, is the first dedicated solely to his work in that city.

Piano Nobile exhibits at Frieze New York for the first time. It runs from May 2-5, coinciding with TEFAF New York Spring.

The London gallery has produced a catalogue for the show written by David Boyd Haycock, author of the book A Crisis of Brilliance (2009), and prices range from £15,000-250,000.
