1. This polar bear print by animal painter and etcher Herbert Thomas Dicksee (1862-1942), produced in an edition of 100 and published by Frost & Reed in 1927, sold above estimate at Essex saleroom Sworders on December 3.
2. This signed artist’s proof by Irish and St Ives artist Breon O’Casey (1928-2011) tipped over top estimate at West Yorkshire saleroom Hartleys on November 27. The abstract study was produced in an edition of 15 in 1973.
3. This scene appeared at Bedale saleroom Elstob & Elstob in North Yorkshire where it was attributed to the Danish painter Paul Fischer (1860-1934), known best for his naturalistic depictions of city life in Scandinavia. It has some small areas of paint loss and was in need of a clean, but bettered hopes of £300-500.
