This Parian ware figure of a little girl with a bucket and spade is, says dealer Robert Pugh, “very finely potted and despite the complexity of the model it is in perfect condition.” Priced at £290, she will be at the Carmarthenshire antiques and fleamarket on June 16.
Run by Carol and Robert Pugh of Towy Events, the next of these is on Sunday, June 16. As usual, the organisers expect up to 200 stands inside and out selling Welsh country furniture, textiles and ceramics and unusual decorative items.
Part of the 52-acre showground site has been sold to a caravan company and other parcels of it are also on the market.
Towy Events says the long-term plan at the showground site is “to keep the facilities used by the antiques and fleamarket intact as an indoor and outdoor exhibition space for these and many other events”.
