The large figure, 16½in (42cm) high, is attributed to the Leeds Pottery. Particularly vibrant for figures of this age, they were used as a display medium for equestrian, saddlers, tack, medical and feed suppliers.

It is offered by English pottery specialist John Howard, one those who will have their objects featured in the selling show curated by dealers Peter Petrou and Laura Bordignon.

The Tomasso Brothers, Butchoff Antiques and Runjeet Singh are among the more than 20 signed up so far, though there may be pieces from as many 60 dealers on offer, depending on the size of the objects. The members-only event runs from June 25-July 9. It coincides with nearby Masterpiece London (June 27-July 3) and The Art & Antiques Fair Olympia (June 19-28).
