1. The obscure Austrian painter Friedrich Albin Koko-Micoletzky (1887-1981) focused on alpine snowy landscapes captured at dawn and dusk. This 18 x 2ft 5in (46 x 73cm) oil on canvas depicting St Moritz in Switzerland with a Ruskin Gallery label verso tipped over top estimate at Maidenhead saleroom Dawson’s on October 26.

2. Sara Wells Page (1855-1943), an English painter of portraits and figurative works in the Victorian and Edwardian period, exhibited widely during her lifetime including at the Parisian salons and the Royal Academy of Arts. This 16 x 12½in (40 x 32cm) signed portrait, inscribed by the artist with A Chere Md Molony souvenir bien affections de S Page, outperformed its estimate of £300- 500 at Mallams of Oxford on October 23.

3. This 10½ x 12in (27 x 31cm) oil on board was painted by the 19th century Suffolk artist John Moore (1820-1902) of Ipswich, best known for his accuracy of coastal and shipping scenes. It more than tripled hopes at Jedburgh saleroom Brown & Turner in the Scottish Borders on November 2.
