Newsome chronometer – £2700 at Henry Adams.
With a silver case made by Isaac Jabex Theo Newsome, Chester, 1902, and a white enamel dial marked Newsome & Co Coventry 148646, the timepiece was in a fitted brass and mahogany case with ivory plaque.
It was pitched at £500-700 at the September 5 sale but sold to a UK collector at £2700.
