The annual decorative fair due to be held at Lady McAlpine’s Fawley Hill Estate near Henley from Friday to Sunday, May 29-31, has a new venue and name.

The site on the estate where the event was held for the past two years is no longer available, but – with the same dates – the renamed event will relocate down the road to Fawley Meadows.

Picturesque setting

Organiser Gary Wallis said: “Fawley Meadows is logistically an amazing site, directly off the main road with lots of successful events being held there.

“Its picturesque setting on the Thames on the Henley Royal Regatta course make it perfect for the newly named Henley Decorative Fair.

“The direct links to M4 and M40 and its main road access means we expect greater footfall and easier access for exhibitors.”

Wallis added: “Working with the inspirational Lady McAlpine has been an absolute pleasure and now this is the next chapter for the fair and with this new location it will be an amazing step forward.”

Lady McAlpine advises that she has written to the dealers due to stand at this fair explaining the situation and apologising for the event’s cancellation.

There will be more on the Henley Decorative Fair nearer the time.
