Just in case your readers think that the price was very high, the purchase included a very large archive of additional ephemeral items printed by this press, items such as a letter headed paper for local garage, revealing the diversity of its work.

The archive, for that is what it is, will become part of Horsham District Council’s Horsham Museum collections and was acquired by the Friends of Horsham Museum.

It is currently being listed by a museum volunteer while the museum is closed.

It was too important a record of a Sussex private press to be dispersed and will enable future researchers to create a fuller understanding of the press and one day be the basis of a temporary exhibition, when we learn more about the fantastic archive.
