Issued from 1938-54, the Calendograf with a calibre 475 movement was one of Movado’s most important models.

It was promoted at the 1940 World’s Fair in New York and at Basel watch fairs throughout the 1940s. Andy Warhol was a fan and was often pictured wearing one.

This c.1945 example with an aftermarket lizard skin strap has a guide of £300-500 at Cheffins in Cambridge on November 5.
