Both institutions’ auctions are/were aimed specifically at the collector; therefore, this is a perfect match for Aston’s saleroom building to be taken into the care of SAS.
When the Covid-19 pandemic is over, and personal bidders can attend sales, the two places can complement each other while under the new management of SAS.
Regular Aston’s bidders in the Dudley area, and further afield, will be pleased to know that the Aston’s venue will be kept operating as an auction house, just under new ownership. Business as usual.
