The eau de toilette Kantirix is contained in an 11½in (29cm) high sinuous mould-blown glass flask designed by the French architect Hector Guimard.

The bottle, which is monogrammed HG, has an Art Nouveau label reading Eau de toilette Kantirix F.Millot 93 Boulevard Sébastopol and is engraved F Millot to the bottle base. It sold for €100,000 (£90,910) at the auction on October 9.

An Art Deco scent bottle by René Lalique for Lucien Lelong in a design inspired by New York’s Chrysler building, which was previewed in ATG No 2460, made €5800 (£5270) in the same auction.
