Packs of the cards are being issued by the association to dealers who regularly sell Staffordshire to give to their clients. The opening text reads: “Congratulations on the purchase of a Staffordshire figure. You now own a piece of British history.”
Alan Sturrock, president of the association, continues to look at ways to make the once vibrant market for Staffordshire figures more visible.
The association’s annual convention was due to be held in the UK this year, with 50 delegates lined up for week perusing public and private collections. However, like so many similar arrangements, it was cancelled for 2020.
