A glazed stoneware sculpture by Angus Suttie, estimated at $800-1200 at Susanin’s in Chicago.
Barnes, who had homes in Islington, London and Evanston, Illinois, operated The London Gallery in Winnetka, Illinois, and was friends with many of the artists represented in the auction.
Pictured here is one of the pieces, a glazed stoneware sculpture by the British artist Angus Suttie (1946-93).
The almost square work measures 17¾ x 18 x 17in (45 x 46 x 43cm) and is signed Suttie under one leg. Estimate $800-1200.
