A set of toby jugs made by Wilkinson, estimated at $8000-12,000 at Skinner.
They are based on designs by Sir F Carruthers Gould and were issued in limited editions between 1915-19.
They depict Lord Kitchener, Admiral Beatty, Field-Marshal Haig, Admiral Jellicoe, Marshal Joffre, Lord French, David Lloyd George, Marshal Foch, General Botha, Woodrow Wilson and King George V.
The jugs range in height from 9¾in (25cm) to 12¼in (31cm) and have printed marks, facsimile signatures and retailer’s marks for Soane and Smith.
The estimate is $8000-12,000.
