Among the exhibitors at the Chelsea Antiques Fair in September is Hatchwell Antiques which is bringing this sculptural-looking Campbell/Stokes sunshine recorder with an adjustable lens, made by J Hicks of Hatton Garden, priced at £2350. Allan Hatchwell said: “This sunshine recorder dates from 1900 and would have been in service with the Metereological Office from registration at that time.”

It will run between September 21-26, at the same time at the Chelsea Flower Show.

A VIP invitation-only preview to the fair takes place on Monday, September 20.

Director Sophie Wood said: “We have 32 exclusive stands with a real mix of exhibitors including dealers in furniture, clocks, Chinese and Japanese works of art, paintings and ceramics and glass.”

Dealers include include Morgan Strickland Decorative Arts, Kaye Michie Fine Art and Fileman Antiques.
