The London dealership's department based at its New Bond Street gallery is headed by specialist Roxana Kashani, a specialist in manuscripts from the Near East who joins the firm after 10 years in the auction world.
The announcement follows a busy period of expansion for Shapero.
Late last year it opened two new galleries in Mayfair and launched Shapero Emporium, a separate space in New Bond Street showcasing pieces from Shapero Rare Books, Shapero Gallery and Shapero Modern alongside leading dealers such as Justin Raccanello, Thomas Coulborn & Sons and Kent Antiques.
On opening in New Bond Street, CEO of the dealership Bernard Shapero said: “I believe that when this pandemic is over the West End will come back. Pre-Covid, London was booming with hotels being built and I believe in two or three years’ time we will look back at this nightmare but we will have recovered."

He added: “Rents may become more affordable and we were able to have the opportunity to take the ground floor on New Bond Street on a shortterm lease because of the troubles of the wider retail sector.”
