One offered 1072 Christie’s catalogues relating to Chinese and Japanese art sales dating from the 1930s to the present day, while the other presented an even larger group of 1547 Sotheby’s catalogues.

The latter, covering Chinese and other Asian works of arts sales dating from the 1940s to the present day, also included duplicates.

The auction was held on May 12.
