The full-time dealers buy and sell an eclectic range, from small silver collectables and jewellery “to architectural salvage and anything that takes our eye in between”.

The Carters have also run both fairs for nine years and are restarting their Woburn fair in the village hall on Sunday, October 10, with around 30 indoor dealers.

The Carters made a comment which many fair organisers would identify with, saying: “Our fairs are a special part of our lives and our dealers and buyers are like an extension of our family.”
