French 18th century rosewood veneered marble topped commode – estimate €6000-8000 in the Veritas auction.
The auction, which takes place over three days from September 28-30, will be staged at the Quinta da Serra palace, Azeitão, located 40 minutes away from Lisbon at the Arrábida National Park.
Over 1400 lots will include antique and modern paintings, sculpture, furniture, lighting, ceramics, textiles, silver, jewellery and decorative objects.
Among the furniture is this French 18th century rosewood veneered marble topped commode, which is stamped Migeon for the cabinetmaker Pierre Migeon IV (1696-1758).
The 4ft 5in (1.36m) commode, which is fitted with two long and three short drawers and has restoration to the top and minor losses and faults, has an estimate of €6000-8000.
