This Louis XIV Boulle marquetry bureau de mazarin attributed to Nicholas Sageot (1666-1731) has an estimate of £20,000-30,000. It is decorated with whimsical scenes in the style of Jean Berain below a canopy inlaid with mother of pearl, stained ivory, hardstone and copper foil.

The first, bearing a thistle on a saltire, belonged to HMS Scotsman, an S Class submarine launched in August 1944 which saw brief action in the Pacific in 1945 and was broken up in 1964.
The second (pictured) is for HMS Contest, a C Class destroyer, also launched in 1944 and posted in the Far East after the end of the Second World War but broken up in 1960.
