Decorative antiques dealership Violet Grey found this chair and table set last year in a brocante in Lyon.
According to the gallery: “It had certainly seen better days, having been abandoned by its owner. We saw through the rust, lichen and grime to see that this had been a very stylish set.”
Following professional restoration, including the replacement of the marble top, the 1930s dining set is now on offer for £4900. The set seats eight and, according to the dealership, “would sit perfectly on most patios”.
