The Grade II-listed Victorian station at Knaresborough won a railway heritage award last month. It now offers not only a twice-hourly rail service to York and Harrogate but an arts workshop and a bar – and Northernline Antiques.
Tony Wright and Andy Docherty opened the business last year in premises they share with Northernline Arts. They said: “We are more than getting by, with a steady stream of regulars and lots of visitors coming to Knaresborough on the train.”
Best sellers? Railwayana, of course.
