A couple who stored their excess collection of vintage furniture and decorative pieces in a 20ft container have turned it all into a business in a former stables.

Jamie-Lee and Matt McGinty have named their antiques and vintage shop in the Cheshire town of Warrington Peggy McCools, in honour of Matt’s late grandmother.

Chance to share

Jamie-Lee said: “It has given us the chance to share a lot more of our smalls and decorative items than in our previous premises in Lancashire and on our online platforms.

“We’ve been keen to expand into vintage fashion for a number of years but never had the right set-up until now and this side of the business has really taken off much faster than anticipated.

“We are fortunate to have customers from all over the UK thanks to online platforms, social media and meeting through antiques fairs. The shop is going really well and Warrington has a great antiques and vintage community with at least five businesses locally.”
