Eskenazi, the Chinese and east Asian works of art specialist in London’s Clifford Street, is launching a series of summer exhibitions aimed at promoting lesser-known subjects and engaging new audiences.
It starts with two exhibitions running until July 8. One focuses on Contemporary bamboo sculptures from Japan and the other on rare sandstone formations known as gogottes from Fontainebleau.
Daniel Eskenazi says: “Although these exhibitions are not on Chinese art, which we will focus on later in the year, they convey the spirit of the Chinese scholar. We look forward to opening our doors to collectors and visitors, existing and new, who we believe will find the objects made by man and nature to be as fascinating as we do.”
The International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA) Print Fair
Returning as an in-person event this year, The International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA) Print Fair is set to host 75 exhibitors including Emanuel von Baeyer, Marlborough Graphics New York, David Tunick, and The Old Print Shop.
The line-up includes 20 newcomers and comprises both members of the IFPDA as well as invitational exhibitors. In order to accommodate the fair’s size – the edition is larger than the previous in-person event – there is a new tabletop format.
It runs from October 27-30 at The Javits Center in New York City.

Peachtree Battle Antiques & Interiors in Atlanta, USA, has moved to 1391 Chattahoochee Avenue in the city’s Westside Design District.
Peachtree Battle Antiques & Interiors in Atlanta, USA, has moved. It is now located at 1391 Chattahoochee Avenue in the city’s Westside Design District and has an extra 1500 square feet of space for a total of 15,500. The shop is part of The Ahlers Group, which includes Ahlers & Ogletree Auction Gallery and other retail businesses.
It hosts 40 dealers offering US, French and English antiques and art.
Robert Ahlers, store owner and head of the Ahlers Group, said: “We had to move from The Historic Book Bindery [its previous location] when the building was demolished to make way for a 17-storey high-rise condo development.”
It had been in its previous location since 2011.
Ahlers adds: “We see this as a positive step in our ongoing mission of providing Atlantans with a true antiques market.”
NFT gallery
Mayfair’s first physical NFT gallery has opened on Dover Street. The firm, dubbed simply The NFT Gallery, is described as “female founded and female first” and was launched by Lynn Rosenberger and Lilien Hornung-Mary, both entrepreneurs with experience in fashion, tech and art. Surface Tension, the inaugural exhibition, runs until July 22.

Photography exhibition
For her latest project, Sophie Camu, former director at Sotheby’s and curator with Stephen Ongpin, has teamed up with her husband Scottish photographer Alexander Lindsay.
Together the pair have staged The Abandoned Edge, a photography exhibition and symposium at Bowhouse in Fife. The show runs from July 15-August 7 and centres on Lindsay’s large, high-resolution landscapes of the Outer Hebrides and St Kilda.
The symposium, which runs during the show, features talks such as How Astronomical Images have Changed in the Last 200 Years and Exploring and Documenting the Wreck of the Titanic. Prices range from £1000-5000.
