Among the 77 dealers at PBFA’s upcoming book fair at Oxford Brookes University on the weekend of April 2-3 is Paul Davies of Kingsbridge Books in Devon, a polar specialist.
One of the books he will be bring from his most recent 40- page catalogue of this material is a 1919 first edition of South, the explorer’s own account of the 1914-17 Trans-Antarctic Expedition with images by Frank Hurley priced at £950.
The dealer will also offer plenty of lesser priced items including postcards of polar explorers from £15 to £25.
The fair, organised by John Martin, is the first PBFA event in Oxford since 2019.
