Arthur Swallow Fairs is launching a third three-day decorative home and salvage fair next year.
It will run from Friday to Sunday, June 9-11, in a privately owned estate and park in the Cotswolds.
This will add to the organiser’s fairs at Loseley Park near Guildford and Ripley Castle close to Harrogate as well as the popular antiques and salvage market held at the Cheshire Showground.
The latest venue is the 15,000 acre Bathurst Estate in Cirencester Park, in existence since the 18th century. It is just a 2km walk from the town through the parkland, said Richard Burgoin, managing director of AS Fairs.
He added: “I’ve always wanted to launch a fair in the Cotswolds area and was talking to a visitor at our Beale Park fair this summer [this is not running next year] and he mentioned that his daughter worked at the Bathurst Estate which hosts big events including the Cotswolds Show.
“So here we are and I’m very excited. It’s a terrific venue for us.”
This sounds like an inspired choice of location to attract buyers to the show. The antiques-rich town of Tetbury is just six miles away with the rest of the Cotswolds’ high concentrations of antiques centres and shops adding to the likely success of this venture.
Meanwhile, AS Fairs’ next event is the regular Antiques & Home Show at the Lincolnshire Showground on Wednesday, November 30.
