The streaming giant Netflix is doubling the size of its production hub at the site, including 17 sound stages, with possible shooting starting on the expanded site next year. Meanwhile, Netflix arch-rival Amazon Prime Video has signed a multi-million deal at the studios producing projects next door to Netflix.
Film companies have always been good customers at Kempton Park, buying “en masse for big productions”, said Cruttenden.
Sunday repeat
On a different page, Cruttenden was so delighted that his inaugural Sunday market at the course in July was such a success that he is planning repeats.
