Dealer Tanya Bielschowsky.
1 How did you get your start?
My father was a dealer. Every weekend, from the age of eight, he would take me shopping with him to all the antiques markets. Dealing sponsored my studies. I specialise in Mid-century art and design.
2 What is one challenge that buyers and/or collectors currently face?
Finding affordable, quality items, which can be scarce.
3 What is one question it’s important for people to ask before buying?
What’s the story?
4 One lesson you would pass on to a newcomer in the trade?
Know your stock. Also, one thing I’ve learned is to be generous with knowledge and time (if you can).
5 Real ale or espresso martini?
Diet Coke.
