It takes place at the Westonbirt School near Tetbury and is not to be confused with the Cotswolds Antique Dealers Association (CADA) Fair which runs almost simultaneously in Blenheim Palace.
Fair director Sue Ede, who also runs the Bath and Bruton decorative fairs independently of the Cooper fairs, says of ‘Westonbirt’: “This is one of our longest-established fairs, first run in 1989 and every year since then, appealing to collectors and home decorators across the region.”
With prices ranging from £25 to over £25,000, objects are provided by dealers from across the UK.
Among the exhibitors this year are Jo Brayshaw with decorative lighting and glass; Brian Ashbee & Wesley Wotruba, specialists in 19th and 20th century furniture; Artefact bringing Chinese and Japanese porcelain and embroideries and Hassan Alabaf, who offers Persian carpets and rugs.
New exhibitors include Robert Eagle Fine Art, specialists in Modern British art, Fox House Fine Art bringing 19th and 20th century pieces and Linda North Antiques with architectural pieces and garden statuary.
The next Westonbirt fair is in August.
