The new gallery promises to be the largest streetfront art space in Old Bond Street and will open on January 11 with a revolving show of new work which will act as a preface for a series of solo exhibitions including, in the first half of the year, New Painting by Jock McFadyen (March 29-April 23), tapestries by the Irish artist Louis le Brocquy (May 3-30), model paintings by Neil Gall (June 1-26), and prints and drawings by Peter Lloyd (June 29-July 17).
Later in the year the gallery will host a curated group show of major Contemporary painting and sculpture, which will include work conceived in the context of the gallery listed 19th century interiors.
The programme has been put together by Mark Adams who joined the gallery in July 2000 after running the Modern British paintings department at Sotheby’s for ten years as well
as starting and running the Sotheby’s Irish sales.
