Agnews
Agnews is a fine art dealership established in Manchester in 1817 by printer and publisher Thomas Agnew. Continued by his sons, the firm set up a gallery in London in 1860.
The business changed hands in 2014 when Anthony Crichton-Stuart, former head of Christie's Old Master Paintings department in New York and subsequently a director of Noortman Master Paintings, took over from Julian Agnew, the sixth generation dealer from the original family to run the firm.
