An antique Agra carpet topped the sale at £66,000, followed by this oil on copper panel of the Madonna and Child with angels which made £48,000 against expectations of £4000-6000. It measures 18 x 15in (48 x 38cm), is set into a 17th century tabernacle frame and was attributed to the circle of the 17th century painter Josefa de Ayala.
