Core One comprises The Quiet Man; Roderic Haugh; Will Fisher and Sean Crean; David and Annabella Ford and Plinth. Plinth, who are also appearing at next week’s decorative fair in Battersea, are typical of this new enterprise with “the aim to modernise the word Antique”. If you have seen Plinth’s stands at Olympia and other fairs you will know what they mean.
Not averse to working with contemporary and even performing artists, and aware that the opening of Core One, The Gasworks, Gate A, Imperial Road, London SW6 coincides with London Fashion Week, alongside their own opening stock Plinth host shoe designer Olivia Morris’s Spring 2002 collection.

JUST opened in an unprepossessing 1970s gasworks laboratory on the Fulham/Chelsea divide is Core One, a collective of five very unconventional antique dealers who specialise in items old and new for the decorator.
