The finely enamelled but chipped outer case featured a lady with a cherub on her breast, initialled SMM. Estimated at £2500-4500, on April 26 it sold to the London trade in the room bidding against a telephone bidder for £25,000 plus 15 per cent buyer’s premium, including VAT.
