Around 100 pieces will be on sale priced from $2500 to $35,000, and for the first time the show highlights the work of three great ceramicists, Makuzu Kozan, Seifu Yohei III and Ito Tozan.

The three were acclaimed in Japan during the reign of Emperor Meiji as the finest of their generation and received the accolade Artist to the Imperial Household.

The trio’s experiments with rare glazes and new techniques will be apparent at the Flying Cranes show, which runs from April 1 to June 1.
