Thieves slashed the marquee in two places but escaped with just one small item from a cabinet. “We take security very seriously at Cooper Fairs,” said owner and organiser Sue Ede. “We are proud that the electronic surveillance systems worked extremely well.”
Turning to those who used the more conventional entrance to the fair, the gate for this relaunched two-day event was higher than at the established three-day fixture at the venue last July.

BUSINESS was not bad but security was even better at the North Cotswolds Antiques Fair held in a maarquee at Stanway House on January 11 and 12.
