Her inaugural event comes around again this weekend when from October 24 to 26 the 12th East Anglian Antiques Dealers Fair takes place with 42 exhibitors, still at its original venue.

Of the 42 standholders, 32 are from East Anglia and 22 of these have been with the fair since the beginning.

The organiser’s strength is that she has stayed in the area she knows best; Liz knows the East Anglian tastes, trade and clientele, and has evolved quality events which now have a considerable following.

This weekend’s fair is datelined with most items, including furniture, allowed to 1900, with pictures and ceramics to 1930 and lighting, jewellery and textiles to 1950.

The fair seems strong on furniture with at least nine specialists in attendance, but the whole range of traditional antiques is covered with plenty of pictures and china of local interest. All exhibitors are known to make an effort to bring stock fresh to the market and put aside pieces especially for this event.
Admission is £3.
