The fair is fully booked with some 40 dealers, among them a number of Galloway regulars like local glass specialist Ged Selby, and two who travel up from Cornwall, Chosen Antiques and Meg Armstrong Oriental Antiques.
This fair has been running for 11 years and now has a November staging in addition to June. Incidentally, looking at Galloway’s calendar I note that of the 18 different venues they use each year, nine are stately homes; surely some sort of record?
Stately progress on home ground
HARROGATE-based organisers Galloway Fairs do not have to leave their home county of North Yorkshire for the summer staging of The Duncombe Park Antiques Fair, which will be held this weekend from June 13 to 15 at the home of Lord and Lady Feversham at Duncombe Park, Helmsley.
