The agreement has led to the Leicester-based company being restyled as Tennants Heathcote Ball, with the operation continuing to operate as before, enjoying the bonus of Tennants’ extensive network of contacts and clients, as well as the support of their valuations and auction services.
Rodney Tennant revealed that he and John Ball had talked frequently about a joint venture. “Though I am deeply saddened that John is not here to see it, we will carry on his business, offering John’s clients an enhanced service,” said Mr Tennant.
Mr Ball’s PA and administrator, Lindsey Aldridge, will continue her role.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Tennants operation, in Yorkshire, the North East, Cumbria and the North West, will continue to operate under the title Tennants Auctioneers.
