Mr Smith replaces Edward Reily Collins of Hallidays, a director of LAPADA since January 1990, who has chosen to step down to concentrate on his Oxfordshire dealership.
“I am unbelievably busy and have decided to retire from the board to concentrate on my businesses,” said Mr Reily Collins. “I feel I have served my time as a director and helped set it up well for the future with Sarah Percy-Davis (neé Harvey) at the helm, supported by some good, new, younger directors. However, I shall certainly remain in the background and help to promote members’ interests whenever I can.”
