Top right: the 1897 first edition of George Williamson's book on Richard Cosway..., decorated to the upper cover of the blue crushed morocco binding with a portrait of Georgina, Duchess of Devonshire, and other portraits by C.B.Currie, brought a bid of £15,000, while the 1935 edition of Seven Pillars of Wisdom with its Currie cover portrait of T.E. Lawrence seen bottom right, a rather odd, almost comical binding, to my eyes at least, reached £7500.
