There were definite retail therapy withdrawal symptoms when much of the store was relocated while the main shop was renovated.
Now beautifully restored, all departments are back in the Sloane Square building, but the final one to return was the antiques department, always a key fixture of the Peter Jones experience.
Jeremy Bate, a buyer for the antiques department, was particularly delighted to see customers who they lost while the department was in temporary exile return as soon as it reopened.
To celebrate the return, for three weeks, the shop's front windows will be filled with antiques, including the pieces shown right.
