The site, which is home to more than 50 stands of antiques and collectables and many more vintage fashion dealers, was previously owned by the Moussaieff family.

Roi Mengelgrein, lettings manager at the Stables, told ATG that the change in owner represented no threat to current management or to the character of the market, although he could not guarantee that rents would remain at their current level.

The ongoing development of the site, which includes improvement of the 19th century industrial buildings with the aim of creating one of London’s largest leisure and commercial complexes, will also continue as planned. When the work is complete there will be around 600 shops and stalls in the Stables, nearly double the current number.
