The 131-lot ensemble, offered mainly without reserves, realised €140,000 (£98,000) and was 80 per cent sold by volume, with the Paris trade doing most of the bidding. But it was a French collector who paid the top price: €25,000 (£17,500) for this 1986 prototype of a tubular metal armchair by Shiro Korumata.
